What I "Wood" Do (With a Pretty Pile of Wood)~

Last week I showed you this pile of wood.  And asked you what you "wood" do with it...

I also promised to show you what I did with it.

So here's what I did...

I used the wood to create this beautiful piece of art for the Loft Bedroom.  And when I say I created the art, what I really mean is that it was a collaborative effort between my Papa, the Hubby and me.  I came up with the initial

Cassette Tape Art

I love art that has to do with music, so when I came across iri5 studio's
artwork made from old cassette tapes, I knew I had to share them with you!
Made by Erika Iris, each artwork is made with cassette tape or film. Check out
her website here.

House Tour : Florence, Sébastien and Gaspard

Florence, founder of Petite Maman, an NPO aiming at helping mothers and young children in need, her companion Sébastien and their son Gaspard, live in this Parisian Marais quarter flat. I am loving the spirit of this interior, with handpicked flea markets finds, original art prints and its exposed brick wall. You can tell this family did not follow a "by the book" recipe to furnish their home, and as a result, their flat exhibits a real fresh and unique style. J'aime!

J'aime!

Art From Reclaimed Wood Shipping Pallets

Wood shipping pallets are one of the hottest items being repurposed and upcycled
today. We've seen potting benches, tables, all types of furniture, and the list goes on.

One of my favorite ways to see old pallets being upcycled is when they are
turned into some type of art.

Here are a few that you may find interesting...
