It’s the first ever Dittle Dattle guest post!
Jenn, a writer for Arcadian Lighting, has kindly offered to share her knowledge about decorating with clocks! I am so delighted to have her stop by.
Hi everyone!
I'm Jenn and I'm a writer for Arcadian Lighting, an e-commerce website that specializes in the top lighting fixture trends from across the globe. I just purchased my first house and thank my lucky stars that I've been writing about home decor for so many years - there's so much to know! I also thank my lucky stars that I have inspiring websites like Dittle Dattle - Carrie's posts are always beautiful and lots of fun. Thanks for letting me guest post here today Carrie! One of the most overlooked decor elements is the trusty clock - today there are countless styles and sizes to choose from, and not only can they up the style factor of a room but they're also functional. Hung near a staircase, in a kitchen, or added to a home office, and then paired with a great light fixture, decorating with clocks is a straightforward way to add character to any space.
An entryway always looks great with a traditional wood clock that matches the furniture - this model is simple yet refined.
While many people wouldn't think to put a clock outside, this oversized antique clock looks particularly pretty propped over an exterior setup.
It could be said that this entire kitchen was designed around the playful pink cupcake wall clock seen here - all of the other accessories, from the to the linens, match in pretty pink.
This shabby chic sitting area has clean, crisp furniture and an oversized dated clock, creating the perfect juxtaposition of old and new.
A fireplace is always a classic fixture in a sophisticated living room, and adorned with traditional accoutrements such as a clock and artwork, it emanates timeless elegance.
This mod take on a clock incorporates geometric shapes and lines and instantly updates this transitional space, which also features a shapely table lamp and a rich mixture of colours.
A home office is infused with style and practicality with this flower-shaped clock - it matches the built-in custom cabinetry to create a seamless look.
This massive antique clock helps tie the dated look of this themed space together, from the one-of-a-kind lighting fixture to the rustic table and textured walls. I hope this guest post paid good homage to the trusty old analog clock. If you liked this guest post, feel free to drop by Arcadian Lighting Blog for more inspiration for your home. Wow! Thanks Jenn. You provided so many wonderful and inspiring photographs. I am crazy about the clock in this last photograph, as well as, the clock in the outdoor setting. They remind me of the Pier 1 Grandiose Wall Clock Knock-off that I did a few months back. With clock this large you will never have to worry about finding your glasses to tell the time. ha ha
Oh and what about that flower-shaped clock?!?! That could totally be a DIY project!
Well, this was fun. I should have guest over more often. Anyone interested in being a guest on Dittle Dattle?
