Are you getting ready for Halloween yet? At our home we sure are! Planning two parties this year, one for my children's friends and another for the Girl Scout Troop. A Halloween party is just not complete without a Haunted House! I was shopping around and the hunted houses out there were a little pricey so I decided to make my own! I made it out of poster board and lots and lots of glitter!
It was a really fun project! The kids love it!
Material
Poster board, scissors, fabric scraps, glitter paint and extra glitter
I surfed the Internet for a Haunted House clip art and came up with this one!
Not hard at all and since is a Haunted House, it doesn't have to be perfect! :)
The hard part was to cute the little windows!!
The paint didn't give me enough glitter, so while the paint was still yet, I sprinkled some silver glitter.
After the paint was dried, I glued 2 wooden sticks to the back of the house to make it sturdy and to insert the house into the Styrofoam.
I cut small pieces of orange fabric and glued them to the back of the "windows" to make curtains!
I love the look that the curtains gave to the house! SPOOKY!! :)
I already had a piece of flat Styrofoam, I glued some Spanish moss to it and added cute trees that I bought at Michaels.
Happy Halloween!
